Mia Nakano Photography, located in Oakland, California, has been working with us since early 2015. Mia (owner) is a photographer that pulls us in on an as-needed basis to help out with some of the code-based requests she receives from her clients. We love that. We love being a hired gun. Mia found us through our Shopify Expert listing… perhaps we answered the phone when she called too, just like Alyssa Pratt was saying. That is definitely one of our points of differentiation.
Mia had some really nice things to say about our working relationship on Yelp the other day:
I’ve been working with AJ and Jake for a couple of years now for a couple major clients of mine. They’re the trifecta of what you’re looking for, responsive, affordable, and honest. As a web-designer and photographer, I have limitations in coding knowledge, this is when I call on AJ and his team to fill in my big gaps. I appreciate their depth of knowledge working with Shopify, php, and thinking outside the box to respond to the wide range of requests I’ve thrown at them. You won’t be disappointed with this team!

Photography or code… a paradox:
As with many of our long-term clients, this working relationship started off with a smaller project. I mean less than $100. It was work for The San Fransisco Wine School and dealt with a modification they needed for their class selection tool. This eventually turned into web development work for The Cheese School of San Francisco, again, primarily Shopify edits and modifications.
My only regret through all of this?
That we don’t live close enough to enjoy some cheese and wine with Mia.
