1. Vinyl is Super Durable
Have you ever lost a business card?
Everyone wants to make a lasting impression on potential customers, and business cards are great – but so many get lost, misplaced, ripped in half or accidentally fed to the dog.
Stuff happens.
Unfortunately that stuff can cost you customers.
Plaster your message on your vehicle, on your work truck, on your trailer, on your living room wall, on your children… you do what you want, I don’t know your life. It will remain there for years offering a semi-permanent advertisement that you can rely on.
Vinyl will withstand most things: the weather, a car wash, even a vigorous rub down by a Russian masseuse.
2. Vinyl Lettering Let’s You Say More
Business cards are important, but they’re small.
Wouldn’t you like to have just a bit more space to tell customers about your business?
Well my friend – we have great news – vinyl can go on almost any flat surface and say as much as you want, as big as you want, in as many colors as you want. Put it on the sides and back of your truck, trailer, or small crop dusting plane.
Sidenote: if you have a small crop dusting plane we will letter it for free provided you take us for a joy ride and do a barrel roll!
3. Vinyl Helps Your Business Maintain Top Of Mind Awareness
Do you ever get stopped behind people at stop lights?
Of course you do. That’s why it’s a stop light. Not a go light.
It’s boring. But hey – why not give the person behind you something to read? Tell them about your business. Explain what you do and why they should contact you. It’s not being pushy – you’re doing them a favor!
When you park your vehicle at the supermart it’s going to be seen by a lot of people. One of the golden rules of marketing is to go where the people already are. Well, your local customers are going to go to the supermart – so why not borrow their audience?
This is a great way to stay top of mind. Much better than driving past people really slow without breaking eye contact…
… don’t do that…
Our friend and client Robb Hasty is a Farmers Agent in Ottawa IL that uses vinyl to let people know where he’s at and who he’s visiting throughout the day.
Smart!
4. BONUS: What NOT to Do
Magnets.
We all have words or phrases we hate.
“Asterisk”, “irregardless”, or “the book was better”.
Magnets are cheaper than vinyl. Unfortunately, they also look cheaper. They make your business look cheap. The same can be said of a cheap website, cheap business cards, cheap brochures – every element of your business sends a message to your customers.
There is nothing stopping your competitors from stealing your magnets (I hear those guys are jerks), and we have seen them come off in bad weather, or when dirt and moisture get behind them.
A big white box on your vehicle with a blurry printed message does not scream “professional”. It screams “side hustle”. It screams “this is a hobby”. It screams… “the book was better”.
But, they are cheaper, I’ll give you that
